AWARDS
Engraved to Keep

Awards, Plaques
& Corporate Gifts

Banquet awards, service plaques, retirement pieces and client gifts — laser engraved in Hollister on wood, glass, metal, slate and leather. Permanent, not printed.

What You Get

The thing that stays on the shelf

Most recognition disappears. A gift card gets spent, a certificate goes in a drawer. An engraved piece with somebody's name on it tends to sit on a desk for years, which is the entire point of giving it.

Laser engraving removes material rather than adding it, so the mark is part of the object. It does not peel, fade in sunlight, or wash off.

We engrave in-house at our Hollister shop on wood, bamboo, glass, crystal, coated metals, slate, acrylic and leatherette — single pieces or a table full of them.

Banquet or ceremony coming up? Reach out early. A run of awards with individual names on each one is the kind of job where an extra week of lead time removes all the stress.

Materials, and what each one is good at

  • Wood and bamboo. Warm, classic, and forgiving of detail. Boards, plaques and desk pieces.
  • Glass and crystal. A frosted, etched mark with real presence under light. The traditional award look.
  • Coated metals. Anodised aluminium, powder-coated steel and brass — crisp, high-contrast, and hard-wearing. Also how name plates get made.
  • Slate. Dark, textured and heavy in the hand. Excellent for serving boards and coasters.
  • Leatherette. Journals, portfolios, keychains, bottle openers — the material that made patch hats popular, in gift form.
  • Acrylic. Modern, light, and clean-edged for contemporary award shapes.

Bulk runs with individual names

A dozen identical awards is a straightforward job. A dozen awards each with a different recipient name, title and date takes a little more care — and that is the version most banquets actually need.

Send us the list exactly as it should appear, spelled and punctuated the way the recipients spell it. We build it into the proof so you can read every single line before we engrave anything, because a misspelled name on a permanent object is not a fixable mistake.

Our engraving area handles items up to roughly 24" × 12". Larger pieces can often be engraved in sections — ask and we will work it out.

Bring your own item

You can supply the piece and pay only for the engraving. People bring in tumblers, knives, cutting boards, flasks, watches, tools and heirloom items all the time.

One honest caveat: we cannot replace a customer-supplied item if it cracks, burns or reacts badly during engraving. Unusual materials and irreplaceable pieces are worth discussing first, and where possible we will test on something similar.

Local pickup and lead time

Most laser engraving orders are ready in about a week; larger or more intricate work takes longer, and you get a firm date with your proof.

We are at 817 Industrial Dr, Suite F in Hollister, open M–F, 9am – 5pm. Local pickup is free and we ship nationwide.

Common Questions

Awards & Gifts FAQ

  • How far ahead should I order awards for a banquet? +

Most engraving is ready in about a week, but a large set with individual names needs proofing time on top of that. Two to three weeks before the event is comfortable; tell us the date and we will be straight with you about what fits.

  • Can every award have a different name? +

Yes, and it is one of the most common requests. Send the list exactly as it should read and check it on the proof — engraving is permanent, so the proof is the moment to catch a spelling.

  • Can you engrave my company logo? +

Yes. Vector artwork (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) gives the sharpest result. We can work from high-resolution raster files too, and we will tell you up front if a file will not hold up at the engraving size.

  • What is the largest piece you can engrave? +

Our laser handles an engraving area of roughly 24" × 12". Bigger pieces can often be engraved in sections or by repositioning the work — send us the dimensions and we will confirm.

  • Can I supply my own item to be engraved? +

Yes, and we will quote the engraving labour separately. We cannot replace supplied items that are damaged during engraving, so check with us first if the material is unusual or the piece is irreplaceable.

  • Do you do promotional items in bulk? +

Yes — branded drinkware, boards, keychains and desk pieces for events, conferences and client gifting. Send us the item list and quantity and we will quote it.
