Laser-Engraved
Tumblers

Names, logos, dates and inside jokes engraved into insulated tumblers, water bottles, mugs and flasks. Engraved, not printed — it will not peel off in the dishwasher.

What You Get

Why engraved beats printed on drinkware

A tumbler lives a hard life. It rides in a cup holder, gets knocked against a desk, and goes through the sink several times a week. Printed and vinyl decoration on drinkware eventually lifts at the edges and peels.

Engraving takes the coating away instead of adding a layer, so the design is cut into the surface. It cannot peel, and it does not fade in the sun on a dashboard.

We engrave in-house in Hollister — one tumbler for a birthday, or a bulk run of branded drinkware for a company.

Popular Reasons

What people engrave on drinkware

Names & monograms

The classic. A name on a tumbler stops it going missing at work or at practice.

Company logos

Client gifts, staff welcome kits, conference giveaways and branded swag.

Team & squad sets

Matching tumblers for a roster, a crew, or a coaching staff.

Wedding party gifts

Bridesmaid and groomsmen drinkware, each with an individual name.

Milestones & dates

Anniversaries, graduations, retirements, births — a date engraved to stay.

Bulk event orders

Conferences, fundraisers and grand openings needing a lot of the same piece.

Bring your own

Already own the tumbler? Bring it in and pay only for the engraving.

Bottles, mugs, flasks

The same engraving works on water bottles, camp mugs, flasks and barware.

What engraves well, and what does not

Powder-coated and anodised drinkware is ideal. The laser lifts the coating to reveal the metal underneath, giving a crisp, high-contrast mark that lasts as long as the tumbler.

Bare stainless can be engraved too, though the contrast is subtler. Painted or plastic-coated surfaces vary a lot — some are excellent, some scorch, and that is worth testing before committing a bulk order.

If you are buying drinkware specifically to be engraved, ask us before you order a case. Two minutes of advice can save a box of tumblers that were never going to engrave cleanly.

Care after engraving

  • Hand wash to protect the insulation seal — that is a manufacturer recommendation for most vacuum-insulated drinkware, engraved or not.
  • The engraving itself is permanent and cannot wash off, fade or peel.
  • Skip abrasive scouring pads on the engraved area so the surrounding coating keeps its finish.
  • Do not put an insulated tumbler in the microwave, and check the manufacturer's guidance before the dishwasher.

Bulk and corporate orders

Branded drinkware is one of the few promotional items people genuinely keep and use in front of other people, which makes it worth doing properly.

We handle bulk runs with a single logo, and personalised runs where every piece carries a different name. For personalised sets, send the name list exactly as it should read — you will approve it on the proof before anything is engraved.

Common Questions

Engraved Tumbler FAQ

  • Will the engraving come off in the dishwasher? +

No. Engraving removes coating rather than adding a layer, so there is nothing to peel. We still recommend hand washing insulated drinkware — that is about protecting the vacuum seal, not the engraving.

  • Can I bring my own tumbler to be engraved? +

Yes, and you only pay for the engraving. Bear in mind we cannot replace a customer-supplied item if it reacts badly during engraving, so tell us the brand and finish first.

  • Can each tumbler in an order have a different name? +

Yes — wedding parties, teams and staff sets are usually personalised individually. Send the list exactly as it should appear and check it on the proof.

  • What colour is the engraving? +

On powder-coated or anodised drinkware, the laser reveals the metal beneath the coating, so the mark appears as a bright contrast against the colour. On bare stainless the effect is more subtle.

  • Do you engrave logos as well as text? +

Yes. Vector artwork (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) gives the cleanest result; we can work from high-resolution raster files and will tell you if one will not hold up at engraving size.

  • Can I order just one? +

Absolutely. Single-piece gifts are a big part of what we do, and there is no minimum.
