Custom Hats
& Patches

Pick the hat, pick the decoration, walk away with something nobody else has. Embroidery, leather patches, woven patches and DTF prints on structured caps, snapbacks, trucker hats and beanies.

What You Get

One hat is a perfectly good order

Most shops want a case quantity before they will talk to you about hats. We will make you one. That is the whole idea behind the Hat Bar — you choose a blank, choose how it gets decorated, and we build it.

It also scales the other way. The same setup runs a team, a crew, a wedding party, a fundraiser, or a company's whole seasonal order.

Every hat is decorated here in Hollister, and you see a digital proof of the design on the hat before we make it.

Planning an event? The Hat Bar travels. Get in touch about bringing it to a market, a company party, or a school fundraiser.

Decoration Methods

Four ways to put your design on a hat

Each one looks and feels different. We will tell you which suits your artwork.

Embroidery

Stitched directly into the hat. The classic, durable finish for logos and simple lettering.

Leatherette patch

Laser-engraved faux leather patch, stitched on. Rich, tactile, and very popular right now.

Woven patch

Fine detail and lots of colour in a flat, flexible patch. Good for complex logos.

DTF print

Full-colour transfer for artwork that is too photographic or too detailed to stitch.

Structured caps

The classic six-panel shape that holds its form. The default for most logos.

Snapbacks & trucker

Flat brim, mesh back, adjustable snap — the styles teams and merch runs ask for most.

Dad hats

Unstructured, curved brim, soft crown. Casual and comfortable.

Beanies

Cuffed knit beanies with an embroidered or patched front. Winter fundraiser staple.

Choosing between a patch and embroidery

Embroidery goes into the hat itself. It is durable, traditional, and ideal when the design is a logo or a word or two. Because it is priced by stitch count, a simple mark is inexpensive.

A leatherette patch is engraved rather than stitched, so fine detail and small text survive far better — and the texture stands out against the fabric. It is the finish most people are pointing at when they say they want "one of those hats".

A woven patch handles the busiest artwork: multiple colours, gradients of detail, badge-style logos. And DTF is there for anything photographic.

Send us the artwork and tell us the vibe you are after. We will show you which method flatters it.

Popular hat orders

  • Team and league hats with a stitched logo, sized for coaches and players alike.
  • Company hats for crews who work outside — construction, ag, landscaping, towing.
  • Wedding and bachelor/bachelorette party hats, usually leather patch.
  • Ranch, rodeo and 4-H hats for San Benito County families and clubs.
  • Small-brand merch: breweries, coffee shops, gyms, bands and shops selling their own line.
  • Fundraiser beanies and caps for schools and booster clubs.

Common Questions

Custom Hat FAQ

  • Can I order just one hat? +

Yes. Single hats are welcome and always have been — that is exactly what the Hat Bar is for.

  • What is a leatherette patch hat? +

A patch of faux leather that we laser engrave with your design and then stitch onto the hat. The engraving holds fine detail and small text much better than stitching does, and the patch has a texture people notice.

  • Can you put my logo on hats I already bought? +

Usually yes — bring them in and we will quote the decoration on its own. Some crown shapes and seams limit where a design can sit, so let us look at the hats first.

  • How long do custom hats take? +

It depends on the method and the quantity. Small patch and embroidery orders often move quickly; larger team runs follow our usual custom apparel timeline of about two weeks after proof approval. Tell us your deadline up front.

  • Do you do hats for teams and companies? +

Constantly. Multi-size, multi-colour orders are routine, and we keep your artwork on file so next season's batch matches this one.

  • Can you bring the Hat Bar to our event? +

That is one of our favourite things to do. Get in touch with the date, the location and roughly how many people you expect, and we will work out the details with you.
